About
I'm Elena, a certified personal trainer with NASM and a certified yoga teacher (200-hours) with Aligned Yoga by Briohny Smyth. I started Push-Up to Strong to motivate other women to get fit and strong.

I haven't been fit for most of my life. When I tried to get fit, I've always looked to lose weight, however, never happy with the results. When I focused on building strength (in my 30s by the way!), everything changed. I no longer cared what my scale showed but ironically, my body also became "toned" and lean. The look I was trying to achieve with years of on and off dieting and random Zumba classes meant building muscles, and training for strength, not the looks. Once I got that first push-up, I got curious what else my body can do.

I came to yoga chasing handstands. Now, I chase balance. The mind and body connection no other training makes possible. I felt the need to learn more, and share my knowledge and passion. I hope to inspire you to start your journey today. It is never too late.

I hope to also inspire other yoga teachers and fitness instructors to set up online business.

I'm a wife and a mom to two wonderful daughters. When not training, I enjoy traveling, outdoor activities, cooking and spending time with my family.
